Classes We Offer

We offer classes from ages 4 upward

Beginners

Beginners Ballet for little ballerinas aged 4, or just turning 4.

The class is filled with twirls, props, creative dance, dance through stories, improvisation as well as introducing the very foundation of ballet; pointes, plies, gallops, skips etc.

It is fun with emphasis on the joy of movement and musicality.

Pre-Primary and Primary

Pre-Primary & Primary Classes are for Ballet dancers turning 5 and 6 respectively.

Here the RAD (Royal Academy of Dance) syllabus is introduced. It is perfectly suited to this age group introducing sound basic ballet technique, rythms, patterns, spatial awareness and with beautiful visual imagery and props for the little ones to enjoy.

There is a Class award for Pre-Primary and a Ballet Exam for Primary.

Grade 1-5

The Grades work though the syllabus and their grounding, knowledge and vocabulary of Ballet increases. The execution of the steps is incremental as they move up the grades, building one 'step' on top of the other.

At this stage they need two lessons a week to condition and co-ordinate their bodies and minds.

Besides for the classic Ballet Class exercise, they also have a beautiful Classical Dance and a Stylish Character Dance to learn and master.

Vocational

Vocational is for Dancers taking Ballet seriously, whether they become dancers or teachers or just for the pure love of it.

Pointe work starts from this level upwards, which they have been dreaming of since they were little Ballerinas.

The amount of classes increase to 3 lessons a week.

This includes:

Intermidiate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1, Advanced 2

Adults

Adult Classes are fun classes aimed at adults who have either done ballet before or have an interest and would like to start.

The classes are great for the desire to dance, gain flexibility, strength, mindful exercise and improved grace and co-ordination.

They are great fun and you can make friends at the same time.
